greentreeonline is partnering with Google UK to bring free digital skills to businesses in Yarm this June.
The Google Digital Garage Bus tour was launched in 2017 and has visited over 200 locations across the UK so far. The specially adapted double decker bus is fully staffed by experts from Google, with space for digital marketing training sessions upstairs, and drop-in support downstairs.
This spring, as part of a new partnership with the Good Things Foundation, the bus will travel to over 25 locations within an hour’s travel of Sunderland & Newcastle. At the stop in Yarm on Tuesday 25th June, there are free courses on Digital Marketing and Social Media Strategy as well as free one to one coaching on any aspect of digital skills.
I founded greentreeonline to help empower small businesses and charities and bring web design, social media and digital tools to communities that can’t afford commercial agency rates. Yarm has a much loved high street, and a boost to the digital skills of local businesses will help make them more resilient to adapt and survive in a changing market.Victoria Sauron, Director of greentreeonline
There are limited free places on each of the three Digital Garage sessions that can be booked online, but anyone can drop in to speak to Google staff on the bus at any time during the day with no need to book. The Digital Garage bus will be in Yarm between 9:30 and 4pm by the Town Hall in the centre of the high street.
In the digital age, a basic understanding of how the online world works is useful and when it comes to business, it’s essential. We are delighted to bring the Google Digital Garage to the North East and ensure everyone has access to free digital skills workshops and 1:1 coaching. We hope you’ll pop in and get the skills you need to you need to grow your confidence, career or business.Ronan Harris, Google UK & Ireland Managing Director
