On Tuesday 17th September 2019 I appeared on CVFM, community radio station for Middlesbrough and the Tees Valley, Community Voice FM. It was the Tuesday evening Community Show with Martin Peagam and Anne Woodcock.
I’d been invited on the show to talk about Get Online Week 2019, and we also touched on all sorts of topics relating to digital inclusion, including computer skills for jobseekers and the elderly, social media for businesses in our high streets, ethical web design and blogging, and more!
I talked a little about my ‘problem-solving’ approach coming from five years working as a librarian in North Yorkshire and Martin ended the show by asking people to visit their local library to ask for help with all things computer related. Excellent advice!
I’m currently offering free, fully funded digital skills sessions through my partnership with the Good Things Foundation. If you, your organisation or learners could benefit, please get in touch.
I’m looking forward to coming back on air to talk about all things digital. You can see and hear the segment from 31:38 over on Facebook.
